Bayside Acres Homeowner’s Association
Annual Meeting
April 13, 2011
At the BAHOA Board meeting of March 23, 2011 it was decided not to convene an annual meeting. In addition to a substantial increase in fees for room use at St. Luke’s Church, the only items of business were election of new Board members and call for membership renewal. It was agreed to distribute a letter, similar to last year, with a dues payment form and return envelope, and also with a ballot for the Board election.
Accordingly, the “virtual” meeting announcement with ballot, dues payment form and return envelope was distributed by hand to all Bayside Acres addresses about April 1, with a return date of April 13. Although the annual meeting is supposed to be held in the 4’th quarter of the fiscal year (i.e., January-March), circumstances (Board not able to meet to plan it earlier) dictated that April date.
167 announcements were distributed. As of April 28, 65 ballots have been received, and 69 addresses have paid the $10 dues. One ballot was not counted because dues were not paid.
Board Election Results
Sue Wilhelm (Bayview Drive district) was re-elected with 53 votes (83%).
Mary Sinclair (Chicken Point district) was re-elected with 54 votes (84%).
Laurie Favaro (Main Drive / Manzanita Ave. district) was re-elected with 45 votes (70%).
They will serve for three years until April, 2014.
It appeared that some respondents voted only for the candidate in the area where they live, not for all three candidates.
There were 12 substantive comments and 7 thank-you’s in the comments section of the ballots. The comments received will be submitted to the Board.
Respectfully submitted,
