These include facilities for group homes, homes for the aged, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and others. The primary focus of this Association shall be on 6-bed-or-fewer drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities operating, or planning to operate, under California Health and Safety code 11834 and any other related State, Marin County and San Rafael codes within the geographic area generally known as the Pt. San Pedro Road corridor in Marin County.
-
The Association will act as a focal point for community planning, education, communications and related activities with regard to such facilities and the codes that govern them.

The Association will work with current and potential owners and operators of these facilities in our community to enhance their ability to operate in a manner that minimizes their impact on the tranquility and quality of life in our community.
-
The Association will act to insure that existing or planned facilities in our community operate fully within the scope of applicable State, County and City codes by forwarding information related to possible violations of such codes to appropriate authorities and following up on these issues until they are resolved.
-
The Association will work to insure that all provisions of applicable State, County and City codes are being fully and properly implemented.
-
The Association will work with all appropriate agencies, organizations, and individuals to revise existing, or enact new, California, Marin County, and San Rafael codes so that health-related facilities in residential-zoned areas do not adversely affect the quality of life of the neighboring residences.

The Association shall contract with appropriate resources to achieve these objectives as necessary.
-
The Association shall conduct fundraising to support these objectives as necessary.
